About
StuperBowl
|
|
On the historic Highlands of Scarborough, friends would gather to celebrate
the grandest of day, SuperBowl Sunday. As
the century turned in 1999 to 2000, a new day was born.
On the heals of an end zone catch by Jerome Adamo, a day became
recognized…. This day would forever be known as StuperBowl!
Since
1999 StuperBowl has grown into the ultimate football fans day.
The StuperBowl has been the attraction before the attraction.
A day filled with competitive friends with one dream…becoming a StuperBowl
Champion. First and foremost,
this day
is one filled with beer, food, and friends with a love for the game.
This
day is shared by few as only those who have been chosen may participate. Enjoy
stuperbowl.com, it’s just another addition to the greatest of days.
With the passing of friends and family such as William McCulloch, Frank Adamo
and Ron Dunham, StuperBowl is a proud supporter of the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Canada. Over one third of
all deaths in Canada are attributed to heart disease and stroke.
The foundation is a great cause that helps save great people. If
you would be interested in making a donation to the heart and stroke
foundation, please visit, www.heartandstroke.ca

:::: THE D. DIAMOND
MEMORIAL TROPHY
|
|

|
The
Don Diamond Memorial trophy is awarded to the StuperBowl Champion team. The D.D.M. is in memory of Don Diamond, father of Ken and Jeanette Diamond.
After suffering from a heart attack,
Don
passed away in 1995 at the age of 49. Don
exemplified what this day is about; good friends, good laughs, and great
times. In memory of a good man and a
great father, we are honored to have Don associated with StuperBowl in this
way.
|
:::: THE KATZ MVP TROPHY
|
|
|
The
Katz Trophy is in honor of Mike Kotsopolous and awarded to the StuperBowl MVP.
Kotsopolous was a
good friend of many Stuperbowl participants and many had the honor of attending
Wexford Collegiate together. Kotsopolous breathed the game of football and every year
his peers vote on who will receive the Katz trophy.
Kotsopolous
passed away in 1996 at the age of 24 after suffering from heart failure.
It’s with great admiration and respect that we name the StuperBowl MVP
trophy “The Katz” in his memory.
